Great southern cooking at a great price
Could not fault this place, not too sure where some of the reviews are coming from, we had three different mains, all very flavoursome, good quality produce, served with a smile despite it being very busy and endless coffee to boot. We'll worth a visit, as is the town if you like antiques.
Always great friendly service~ the foods is delicious homestyle cooking at its best!
Ordered 3 eggs over easy with hash browns, sausage and bacon. The bacon was chewy lime jerky. The sausage is one party filleted two appear like two. Food was bland and not worth the price paid. Others in my party didnt even eat there food.
Had a good experience in here with my wife. The food was served rapidly and the service is just great. Prices are convenient.
Great food, great atmosphere.
Super friendly people. Great fried okra. The peanut butter pie is highly recommended, so we took some to go....
Good place to go for breakfast if you enjoy a friendly atmosphere and hometown cooking. My favorite dish is eggs and bacon with grits. They also serve good gravy and biscuits!
My Mom and I went there for breakfast that day. The food was fresh and cooked to my satisfaction. ( I had a special request). Very pleased.
Down home friendly and great home cooked food
Neat little cafe / restaurant. Quiet little family place. I had the chocolate peanut butter pie and loved it! Very good! Wife had a fried okra and liked it. That and 2 iced teas came to $10 and change. I will be back
Nice atmosphere, friendly folk's. Good food.
Pretty good place to stop and get some breakfast
This is one of the most historic Restaurants in all of Florida. 6 AM - 2 PM except Sundays SINCE 1929!That is very rare...Order the Pie too!
If I'm out and want breakfast its not even a question, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!!! Staff is wonderful, the prices are beyond fair and border on cheap for what you get, and most important the food is AWESOME!!!! A good southern home cooked meal in a nice relaxed atmosphere. This place is not only a landmark it is an Arcadia Treasure!!!!! Thank you for always being the place Arcadia can count on for great food and great service!!
Service was great and food ok. I prefer healthier options.
Homemade, need I say more. It was delicious.
I haven't been here in a really long time. The food was good. It pretty much was what was expected. The only issue we had was my husband wanted crispy hash browns but for some reason they were unable to make them that way. I'm not sure why. Other than that we had a decent experience.
Excellent chicken quesadilla and sweet potato fries (with apple butter) ever!
Great service and great food!!
Hmmm Hmmm Good! Down town goodness! A must try place! Home cooking and pies to die for!
Good old timey small restaurant fuel. Good food decent cleanliness. Quality atmosphere! 👍
Home-Style Southern fare with plenty of sass! You can just imagine this café without A/C back in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s being the hub of Arcadia. I wonder how many deals were made, how many marriage proposals were whispered here. How many cups of coffee have been poured? Rich Southern heritage still on display as the photos on the wall pay homage to Rodeo’s Royalty... and food is pretty good, too!
Excellant service with great food
Great quaint old school friendly cafe with lots of history and good food.
Excellent breakfast excellent service the Buttermilk Biscuits are great
As there motto states this is not a fast food restaurant everything is cooked from scratch with love. We all had burgers and fries and it was delicious. The day we went it was popular and I can see why. Just simple great food with caring service would not hesitate to return for a meal when back in town.
When I visited the food was ok. If I go again I will definitely order something different because the last time, food needed a little more taste.
Amazing, homemade food. I had a fresh, delicious Sal's and Hubby had a savory cheese steak sandwich and crispy french fries. The waitresses we're very friendly and made me feel welcome and appreciated. We plan to go back many times.
The best place to get breakfast in Arcadia. The folks here are so great and the breakfast is portions are huge. The price is right and you can not make a bad selection on the menus. The specials are always my favorite, great slection to choose from.
Good homemade foods best pies real old fashioned country store
11 of us rode there for lunch. Service was great and the food was delicious.
Friendly service and good food
The only people who think this is good old fashion southern cooking or homemade in the slightest are yankees. Their gravy comes from a can and the food is just otherwise bland. I have no idea how such a mediocre restaurant has lasted nearly this long. I assume it USED to be good, but if it ever was, that time is long past.
A very nice country place very good food and prices. Reminded me of the good old days. Not the greatest but it is a good place to eat and chat if u like to do that. A good place.
I fell in love at the counter on a stool, and wanted to spend everyday sitting and enjoying an awesome meal and friendly folks. One so special to me. Stop in and enjoy yourself
This is the oldest family owned restaurant in Arcadia. It is not a fast food place. every order is freshly made and delicious. Waitresses are super friendly and always smiling. Coffee and drinks are refilled on time. Prices are very reasonable. Old time atmosphere with modern times.COME VISIT AND ENJOY THIS SUPER PLACE
This is an amazing restaurant with great home cooking. The home fries were fresh and just came out of over or fryer...The western omelet and pork chop was amazing. The biscuits and gravy was huge and my son said they were the best he has ever had. We didn't eat dessert but I could help but take the pecan pie home
AMAZING cream pies. Coconut cream was as good as my gramma's and the chocolate peanut butter pie was divine. Large slices, made from scratch. Bonus: you can order whole pies to take home! Also recommend the grilled cheese, fried okra and sweat tea. Service was great. Clean and friendly.
EXCELLENT first time. We drive thru Arcadia periodically. Glad we found this place. Homemade cooking and Homemade pies..coconut..choco peanut butter..plus.Breakfast till 1130 lunch till about 2.
Really good food and thoughtful staff! It was a pleasure to eat here.
Very friendly staff and delicious food. The place is aged and shows that people love it. Found it and the rest rooms to be clean all be it old. They do a good job here.Down home comfort food at a good price. It is worth a drive for the pie.
I've been a fan since the 1980's. Great food and reasonable prices.
The food was fabulous, all homemade and made to order. But the staff and guests were what made this quaint and antiquated restaurant a wonderful experience. Warning: they have homemade desserts. Even though the food is fab eat dessert first, it will not disappoint....
Always good food
I'm a Texas boy and had delicious Fried Okra and Chicken Fried Steak there yesterday, and awesome service.
Excellent dinner in Arcadia FL. Old style country food
